First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at 377 people with knee osteoarthritis who needed a total knee replacement. It compared what happens when surgeons keep the infrapatellar fat pad (a small pad of fat in the knee) versus removing it. The goal was to see which approach leads to better pain relief, daily function, and quality of life one year after surgery.
