Ice vs. bandage: the cold truth about knee surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07416721

Summary

This study is testing whether cooling the knee after total knee replacement surgery helps with recovery. About 99 patients will be randomly assigned to use a special cooling bandage, a regular ice pack, or receive standard care without cooling for two weeks after their operation. Researchers will measure pain levels, swelling, medication use, and how quickly patients can move their knee to see if cooling provides any clear benefits.
