Growing new knee cartilage from your own cells
NCT ID NCT04296487
Summary
This study is testing whether a procedure using a patient's own cartilage cells can safely repair damaged knee cartilage. Doctors take a small sample of healthy cartilage, grow more cells in a lab, then implant them back into the damaged area. The study follows 218 participants aged 15-50 for one year to see if the new cartilage grows properly and improves knee function.
