Placental fluid injection trial offers new hope for aching knees

NCT ID NCT06704893

Summary

This study is testing whether an injection made from donated amniotic fluid can better control the pain and stiffness of knee osteoarthritis compared to standard hyaluronic acid injections or a saline placebo. Researchers will enroll 160 adults with moderate knee arthritis to receive one of these injections and track their pain levels, knee function, and quality of life over a full year. The goal is to see if this new treatment reduces inflammation and provides longer-lasting relief for a common, chronic joint condition.
