New drug aims to stop deadly clots in pancreatic cancer patients

Summary

This study tests a drug called Kinisoquin™ to see if it can prevent dangerous blood clots in people with advanced pancreatic cancer. About 480 adults with metastatic or locally advanced pancreatic cancer who are starting chemotherapy will receive either Kinisoquin™ or a placebo. The main goal is to see if the drug delays or prevents clots like deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism over 16 weeks.
