Tape it away: kinesiotaping may ease Post-Surgery pain

NCT ID NCT07452497

First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looked at whether applying kinesiotape to the surgical area after soft tissue surgery can reduce pain, improve sleep, help with moving around, and increase patient satisfaction. 120 adults were split into three groups: one got real kinesiotape, one got a fake tape, and one got no tape. Pain was measured at several times over 24 hours, and sleep and mobility were also checked. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free method can make recovery more comfortable.
