Tape trick: could a simple sticky strip help stroke patients walk again?
NCT ID NCT07192484
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looks at whether kinesio taping (a special elastic tape) can improve walking, balance, and muscle function in people who had a stroke and have foot drop (difficulty lifting the front part of the foot). Sixty participants will either get standard physical therapy or standard therapy plus the tape. The tape is applied to the ankle and leg to help lift the foot and reduce muscle tightness. Researchers will measure walking speed, balance, and muscle activity right after taping and two days later to see if it helps.
