First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at kidney tissue from 42 adults with hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) who are getting a liver transplant. Researchers want to see if HRS always causes reversible kidney damage or if some damage is permanent. By analyzing biopsies and genes, they hope to better understand the disease and improve future care.
