Shock waves vs laser: which works better for kidney stones?

NCT ID NCT07261995

Summary

This study compares two common treatments for medium-sized kidney stones (1-2 cm). Researchers will see which method—external shock waves (ESWL) or laser surgery through a thin tube (RIRS)—better clears stones, causes less pain, and leads to fewer complications.
