Scientists probe link between preemie heart defect and kidney health
NCT ID NCT06658496
Summary
This study aims to gather information on how a common heart defect in premature babies, called a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), might affect oxygen levels in their kidneys. Researchers will observe 45 very premature babies, using non-invasive sensors and urine tests over their first week of life. The goal is to better understand the relationship between the heart defect and potential kidney injury.
