Massive study tracks kidney damage in ICU patients

Summary
This study aims to understand how often and how severely acute kidney injury occurs in critically ill patients admitted to intensive care units. Researchers will track over 10,000 adult ICU patients to document kidney injury rates, severity, duration, and how these injuries affect recovery and survival. This is an observational study that collects data to improve future treatment approaches, not a treatment trial.
