Simple blood test could warn of kidney danger in pancreatitis

NCT ID NCT07335757

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple ratio calculated from two common blood tests (C-reactive protein and albumin, called CAR) can help doctors predict which patients with acute pancreatitis are at risk of developing sudden kidney injury. Researchers will enroll 150 adult patients hospitalized with pancreatitis to measure this correlation. The goal is to find an easy, low-cost way to identify high-risk patients earlier for closer monitoring.
