Can a common blood test warn of kidney failure in pancreatitis?

NCT ID NCT07335757

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple ratio from two standard blood tests (C-reactive protein and albumin) can help doctors predict which patients with acute pancreatitis are at high risk for developing sudden kidney injury. Researchers will enroll 150 adult patients hospitalized for pancreatitis and track their blood test results and kidney health. The goal is to find an early warning sign so doctors can intervene sooner to protect the kidneys.
