New device aims to simplify dialysis access surgery
NCT ID NCT03708562
Summary
This study tested a medical device designed to create a connection between an artery and a vein in the arm for patients who need dialysis. The goal was to see if using a less invasive, catheter-based method in a different location could be successful and safe. Researchers followed 24 patients for up to a year to check if the connection worked well for dialysis and how long it lasted.
