NCT ID NCT07233668

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at 172 adults with advanced kidney cancer to see if having surgery to remove the kidney tumor before or after immunotherapy (ipilimumab and nivolumab) leads to better outcomes. Participants will be randomly assigned to either upfront surgery followed by immunotherapy, or immunotherapy first and then surgery. The goal is to find the best sequence to control the disease and improve survival and quality of life.
