New scan could reveal if cancer drugs are working sooner
NCT ID NCT01224288
Summary
This study is testing a special type of CT scan to see if it can help doctors tell if a patient's kidney cancer treatment is working. The scan uses a dye to measure blood flow to tumors, which may change if the drugs are effective. About 120 adults with advanced kidney cancer who are already in another treatment trial will receive this scan before and during their therapy. The goal is to learn if this scan method can provide an early sign of treatment success.
