Can a simple supplement boost a failing heart?
NCT ID NCT05651529
Summary
This small study tested whether taking a ketone salt supplement could improve heart function in people with heart failure. Twenty participants with stable heart failure took either the supplement or a carbohydrate placebo during two separate heart scans. Researchers measured changes in heart pumping ability and other blood markers to see if the supplement provided any benefit.
