First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a ketogenic diet (high fat, low carbs) is safe and possible for children in the ICU with sudden brain injuries like stroke or head trauma. The diet aims to provide an alternative fuel for the brain when it can't use sugar well. Researchers will check for side effects and measure ketone levels in the blood and brain.
