Can a week of keto make cancer light up on scans?
NCT ID NCT07479095
Summary
This study is testing if following a special low-carb, high-fat (ketogenic) diet for one week before a PET/CT scan can help doctors better see a specific type of lung cancer that is often missed. About 30 adults with a suspicious lung nodule will try the diet and then get scanned. The goal is to see if this diet makes the cancer show up more clearly, leading to a more accurate diagnosis.
