First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether using ketoconazole 2% shampoo for seven days works better than three days for treating pityriasis versicolor, a common fungal skin infection. About 76 people aged 12 and older will be randomly assigned to one of two treatment durations. The goal is to see which schedule clears the fungus more effectively and has fewer side effects.
