Ketamine showdown: IV drip vs nasal spray for depression

NCT ID NCT06713616

First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study compares two forms of ketamine—one given through an IV and the other as a nasal spray—to see which works better for people with depression that hasn't improved with other treatments. About 400 adults with moderate to severe depression will receive either treatment for one month. Researchers will track how well symptoms improve, how acceptable the treatment feels, and any side effects.
