Experimental ketamine therapy tested for traumatized teens
NCT ID NCT06378528
Summary
This early-stage study is checking if a treatment combining the medicine ketamine with talk therapy is safe and practical for teenagers with severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A small group of teens aged 15-17 would receive three ketamine sessions alongside therapy over six weeks. The main goal is to see if the process is well-tolerated and to look for early signs that it might help reduce PTSD symptoms.
