Can ketamine stop suicide? new trial aims to find out

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of IV ketamine and nasal esketamine can safely reduce suicidal thoughts in people with severe depression. About 100 adults hospitalized for depression will receive the treatments over 24 weeks. The main goals are to see if the treatment is practical, tolerable, and effective at lowering suicide risk.
