Scientists scan brains to see how ketamine fights depression

NCT ID NCT06620042

Summary

This study aimed to understand how ketamine infusions might help people with bipolar depression that hasn't responded to other treatments. Researchers gave 20 participants a series of ketamine infusions and used brain scans (fMRI) before and after treatment to see how brain connections changed. The goal was to see if changes in brain activity could predict who would benefit from the treatment.
