Scientists scan brains to unlock Ketamine's secrets for severe depression

NCT ID NCT06620042

Summary

This study aimed to understand how ketamine treatment affects the brain in people with bipolar depression that hasn't responded to other medications. Twenty participants received ketamine infusions and had their brains scanned before and after treatment. Researchers compared brain scans of people who improved with those who didn't, hoping to learn which brain changes are linked to getting better.
