NCT ID NCT03555981
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether starting continuous kangaroo mother care (skin-to-skin contact) early could help unstable preterm babies weighing less than 2000g survive longer. The trial took place in a hospital in The Gambia and compared this approach to standard care. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
