Summary
This study tested a wearable defibrillator called the Jewel P-WCD in 322 people at high risk for sudden cardiac arrest. The device monitors the heart and delivers a shock to restore normal rhythm if a dangerous heart rhythm occurs. The goal was to see if the device works safely and effectively without causing too many unnecessary shocks or skin problems.
