New pouch surgery aims to ease life after stomach removal

Summary
This study tests a special pouch made from the small intestine to help people who have had their entire stomach removed due to cancer. The goal is to reduce dumping syndrome—a common problem causing nausea, sweating, and diarrhea after eating—and improve nutrition and quality of life. About 26 adults with stomach cancer will receive this surgery and be followed for outcomes.
