First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at whether placing the wire (lead) of a nerve stimulator in a different spot during implant surgery can change how people breathe. It involved 29 adults with moderate to severe central sleep apnea who were already getting a nerve stimulator or a heart device. The goal was simply to measure breathing changes during the procedure, not to treat the condition long-term.
