First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at whether placing the wire (lead) of a nerve stimulator or pacemaker in a different spot inside a vein can change breathing during the implant procedure. It included 29 adults with moderate to severe central sleep apnea who were already scheduled to get a nerve stimulator or heart device. The goal was simply to measure breathing changes, not to treat the condition.
