Promising bile duct cancer combo trial halted early

NCT ID NCT05921760

First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tested a combination of ivosidenib (a targeted pill) plus two immunotherapy drugs (nivolumab and ipilimumab) in 7 adults with advanced IDH1-mutated bile duct cancer that had already been treated. The study was stopped by the sponsor before the expansion phase, so only safety results from the first phase are available. The goal was to see if the combination was safe and tolerable, not to cure the disease.
