First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special type of MRI (IVIM-MRI) can predict if rectal cancer has invaded blood or lymph vessels, which helps doctors choose the best treatment. About 400 adults with rectal cancer will get this MRI before surgery, and their results will be tracked for 2 years. The goal is to see if this non-invasive scan can replace biopsies and improve survival predictions.
