First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested an eye gel called IVIEW-1201 in 135 people with viral pink eye (adenoviral conjunctivitis). The goal was to see if it could clear up eye redness and discharge faster than a placebo gel. The gel contains povidone-iodine, which may help kill the virus and reduce symptoms.
