Less may be more: IVF study tests milder stimulation for better embryos
NCT ID NCT04983173
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at 110 women aged 35-40 with low ovarian reserve undergoing IVF. It compared a milder stimulation approach (using clomiphene citrate plus a low dose of follicle-stimulating hormone) to a more intense one (a higher dose of hormone alone). The goal was to see which method leads to better-quality embryos and healthier early development. Results aim to help doctors choose the best stimulation intensity for this group of patients.
