Common Anti-Parasite drug tested as new wart treatment
NCT ID NCT07396714
Summary
This study aims to see if a cream containing ivermectin, a drug used for other skin conditions, works better than the standard salicylic acid treatment for common warts. Researchers will test the cream alone and combined with a microneedling procedure, which creates tiny punctures to help the medicine penetrate. About 88 people with non-genital warts will participate, receiving treatments every two weeks for up to three months.
