Summary
This study tests whether giving lidocaine through a vein can reduce pain and the need for morphine after a staging laparoscopy. The goal is to avoid opioid side effects like nausea and breathing problems. Sixty-two adults having elective surgery will receive either lidocaine or a placebo, and their pain scores and morphine use will be compared.
