Summary

This study tests two different schedules of the antifungal drug itraconazole to treat tinea capitis (scalp ringworm) in children aged 5 to 18. One group takes the medicine daily, the other takes it in pulses (intermittent doses). The goal is to see which approach works better to cure the infection, using skin exams, lab tests, and dermoscopy. The study is currently recruiting 120 participants.
