Scientists probe link between fatigue and fitness in young ITP patients

Summary
This study aims to understand if the severe fatigue often reported by children and young adults with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is linked to lower physical fitness. Researchers will measure aerobic fitness and other physical abilities in 53 participants aged 8-25 with ITP and compare them to healthy individuals. The goal is to gather knowledge that could later inform exercise programs to improve quality of life, but this study itself does not test a treatment.
