Summary

This study tested whether a drug called difelikefalin could safely reduce the intensity of severe itching in Chinese adults receiving hemodialysis for kidney failure. 260 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo (inactive substance) three times a week after their dialysis sessions for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if the drug improved participants' itch scores and quality of life related to their itching.
