Summary

This study tested whether a medication called difelikefalin could reduce severe itching in Chinese adults receiving hemodialysis for kidney failure. For 12 weeks, 260 participants received either the drug or a placebo injection three times a week after their dialysis sessions. The main goal was to see if the drug could significantly lower patients' daily itch intensity scores and improve their quality of life.
