Summary
This study tests whether transplanting insulin-producing islet cells from deceased donors can help people with brittle type 1 diabetes achieve safer blood sugar levels without needing insulin shots. Up to 20 adults aged 18-70 will receive the cells through a vein and be monitored for a year. The main goal is to see if the treatment can keep HbA1c below 7% and prevent severe low blood sugar events.
