Can an iron pill boost your vaccine?

NCT ID NCT05919472

Summary

This study investigated whether taking iron supplements could improve how well vaccines work in women with iron deficiency anemia. Researchers in Kenya gave 180 women iron pills either before or at the same time as three different vaccines to see if it strengthened their immune response. The goal was to understand if correcting a common nutritional deficiency could make vaccines more effective.
