Can iron pills make vaccines work better?
NCT ID NCT05919472
Summary
This study investigated whether taking iron supplements could improve how well vaccines work in women with iron deficiency anemia. Researchers in Kenya gave 180 women iron pills either before or at the same time as three different vaccines, then measured their immune responses. The goal was to see if correcting iron deficiency helps the body build stronger protection from vaccines.
