Iron rims in MS: a clue to disability?
NCT ID NCT05123443
First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study examines whether iron-rimmed brain lesions in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) are linked to more severe disability. Researchers will analyze old MRI scans and new blood samples from 100 participants to explore genetic factors that may cause these lesions. The goal is to better understand MS progression, not to test a new treatment.
