Iron infusion trial aims to boost exercise in lung disease patients

Summary
This study tests whether giving iron through a vein can improve exercise ability and daily function in people with pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) who also have low iron. Many patients with this condition cannot absorb iron from pills, so intravenous iron may work better. The trial will compare the iron treatment to a placebo in 306 adults over 24 weeks.
