Summary
This study tested a new iron supplement (ferric maltol) compared to a standard iron medicine in children aged 1 month to 17 years with iron-deficiency anemia. The goal was to see if the new medicine is safer and easier on the stomach. The study lasted 12 weeks and measured changes in blood iron levels.
