Summary
This early-phase study tested a new treatment for children with high-risk neuroblastoma that did not respond to standard therapy or came back. The approach combines a radioactive drug (131I-MIBG) that targets tumor cells with two chemotherapy drugs (irinotecan and vincristine). The main goal was to find the safest dose of the radioactive drug when used in this combination, and to check for side effects. The study involved 26 children and aimed to see if the treatment could shrink tumors.
