Summary

This study tests whether four weekly counseling sessions before lung cancer surgery can lower anxiety and depression. About 138 adults awaiting lung cancer surgery will be split into three groups: those who get the counseling, those who refuse it, and healthy volunteers. Researchers will measure changes in mood, pain, sleep, and hospital stay length.
