Scientists hunt for clues to predict deadly lung Disease's next move

NCT ID NCT00373841

Summary

This study aims to find genetic and biological markers in the blood and lungs that can predict when a patient's Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) might worsen rapidly. Researchers will follow 500 adults with IPF, collecting blood samples and health data every few months to look for patterns. The goal is to better understand the disease's progression, not to test a new treatment.
