Chemo delivered directly to abdomen may boost survival in stomach cancer

NCT ID NCT07304271

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study is for people with stomach cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen (peritoneal metastases). Standard chemo often doesn't work well in this area. The trial tests whether giving one chemo drug directly into the abdomen (intraperitoneal paclitaxel) plus standard chemo through the veins can help people live longer compared to standard chemo alone. About 262 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups.
